For goods to be admissible into the United States, they must comply with all U.S. laws and regulations. These include other government agencies, marking requirements, labeling requirements, amongst others. All imported merchandise must be properly classified in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States. LSCS can work with you to correctly classify all of your products in order to ensure compliance.

CBP gives full and careful consideration to written requests from importers and other interested parties for rulings on their merchandise. We can obtain a binding ruling from Customs to clear up any grey areas of law so that you can count on having certainty in all of your import transactions. We can also search CBP’s database of rulings in order determine if your product is already covered.

CBP enforces the intellectual property rights of U.S. intellectual property right holders. In addition to the seizing imported merchandise, CBP may fine the importer, and in certain circumstances, file criminal charges against them. LSCS can help you determine whether your goods require authorization from the U.S. IPR holder before you attempt to import the merchandise.
